Leh Ladakh

 

I think Ladakh, India is one of those travel destinations you’ll never reach without certain imagination and zeal for traveling. I was lucky to learn about Ladakh from a friend and was dying to visit there after doing some research on the region.  I’m so thrilled that I actually got to visit such a magical place.

Everything from the landscape to culture and the hospitality of the ladakis were just amazing and eye opening experience for me.  Mr. Kumar was so patient and accomodating to my needs and interests throughout the whole booking process and had excellent suggestions for hotels and the sightseeings. I was able to visit Leh, Nubra valley, and Pangong lake on July 2018 for short 5 days and each place was breathtakingly beautiful and was rich in culture.  Mix of Tibetan and Indian traditions was so facinating and I felt like I was seeing the glimpse of Central Asia history. So high in altitude, I felt like ladakh was closest to heaven on earth.

I even searched for movies with ladakh region as a background after the trip and found “Samsara” by Pan Nalin which brought back most wonderful memories.  I was pretty sick with the altitude illness but I still would go back to explore more areas in the future.  I highly recommend visiting Ladakh for anyone who truly wants to get away from the reality of busy hectic life and feel the cold dessert breeze!  You won’t regret it and Mr. Kumar will make sure you get your dream vacation come true.
