Day 01

Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India! Upon your arrival at New Delhi Airport, our local representative will receive you at the arrival hall and escort you to your Hotel in an air-conditioned Car.  Our representative will help you with check-in process, brief you about your tour program and handover your entire tour related documents.
This day you would spend acclimatising yourself with the new time zone to begin your exciting journey from next day.

Day 02

Delhi

Delhi – Capital of modern India “The Heart  of India” . Many dynasties and rulers have flourished on its regal soil over the last 3000 years. The legacy still survives in many monuments varying from the 13th century mausoleum of the Lodi King to that of imperial India’s Parliament House and the President House. Where medieval palaces and bazaars exist beside a modern metropolis. Delhi is the city waiting to be explored, so enjoy!        

Morning:  Old Delhi city sightseeing.  Visiting the Raj Ghat, the site where  Mahatma  Gandhi  was cremated;  Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India; and drive past Red Fort - once the most  opulent  fort and palace of the Mughal Empire. (Red Fort is closed on Monday)       

Afternoon:  New Delhi city sightseeing. Visiting the Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar. Drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and the President’s Residence and end the tour with a drive through Diplomatic Enclave.

Day 03

Delhi – Jaipur (258 kms/6 hrs)

Morning drive to Jaipur (258 kms/6 hrs). On arrival, check in at Hotel.

Day 04

Jaipur 

Jaipur - The capital of Rajasthan, this picturesque city is a symphony in pink, a color which symbolises hospitality in Rajput culture. Built by Raja Jai Singh in the 18th century it is surrounded by hills topped with rugged fortresses and dotted with fairy tale palaces. Ambling camels and brightly dressed peasants, reflect Jaipur’s desert heritage while teeming markets display a profusion of handlooms and crafts. Come visit the city of love, legends and lore.       

Morning:  Enjoy an excursion to Amer Fort, 12 kms outside Jaipur. The original palace was  built by Raja Mansingh. The additions were made by Sawai Jai Singh. One of the finest example of Rajput architecture. It was the ancient capital of Kaisshawah rulers. Make your ascent to the palace fortress on the gaily caparisoned elephant back. Tour the chamber and hallways of the palace which are famous for their design and decorations. This unique capital of the erstwhile warrior kings is a must on every tourist itinerary to the state.

Afternoon:  City tour of Jaipur including the unique Jantar Mantar, the magnificent stone observatory, built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. The Hawa Mahal, the intriguing “Palace of Winds” is really a facade, built in 1799, to allow royal ladies to view the city from the windows. Visit the City Palace, former royal residence, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal style, and its museums, an excellent collection of miniature paintings, costumes and armory.

Day 05

Jaipur – Agra via Fatehpur Sikri 238 KMS 5 HRS

Morning: Drive to Agra en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.

FATEH PUR SIKRI - the deserted, red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the late 16th century.  It was a veritable fairytale city and its  "ruins” are still in pristine condition ... it's not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Also visit the Buland Darwaza the largest gateway in the world.

Continue drive to Agra. On arrival, check in at Hotel.

Day 06

Agra

Agra – The ancient city once the capital of Mughal empire in the 16th and 17th century, depicting a gorgeous panorama of majestic architectural creations and a rich tradition of art and culture. Housing one of seven wonder’s of the World,  the marble symphony of Shah Jahan “The Taj Mahal” . Discover the dazzling creations of their craftsmen in other architectural marvels in Agra, the quintessential Mughal city.

Morning:  Sightseeing of the Taj Mahal (Friday closed) – one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built by Emperor Shah Jehan in memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. This beautiful mausoleum took 22 years to complete with a work force of 20,000. Craftsmen and master builders came from all over Asia to join in the great work – from Baghdad, Shiraz, Delhi, Samarkand and Turkey. The marble, India’s finest, was quarried at Makrana near Jodhpur. Precious and semi precious stones were imported from distant lands: Jasper from the Punjab, Jade & Crystal from China, Turquoise from Tibet, Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan and Ceylon, Chrysolite from Egypt, Amethysts from Persia, Agates from Yemen, Malachite from Russia Diamonds from Golconda and Mother of Pearl from the Indian ocean.

Also visit one of the important architectural monuments in Agra - The Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, the maze of courtyards; mosques and private chambers of the fort echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

Day 07

Agra – Delhi (210Kms / 4 Hours), Delhi – Amritsar by flight

Drive for Delhi. In time transfer to New Delhi airport to connect flight for Amritsar. Upon arrival at Amritsar, you are met and transfer to Hotel.

Day 08

Amritsar

Morning: City tour of Golden Temple, Jalian Wala Bagh.

The Golden Temple, or Harimandir Sahib, is the holiest temple of the Sikh religion. Built under the guidance of Guru Arjun Dev. The foundation was laid down on January 1589 by Mian Mir, a muslim saint, and the temple was completed in 1601. This historical and beautiful temple with gold exterior is a must see for any visitor to Amritsar.  Jallianwallah Bagh - The garden in close proximity to the Golden Temple where, pre-independence, the most gruesome massacre took place. Over 300 Indians were killed when General Dyer opened fire on a peaceful gathering leaving no scope of escape or protection by blocking the one and only entrance/exit gate. Ram Bagh Garden - Once the royal gardens of Maharaja Ranjit Singh sprawling in the heart of Amritsar, today it is open to all. Here, in the middle lies the Museum that used to be his summer palace. Also, amidst the fountains stand his statue of riding a horse. Visited by hundreds of Amritsari's each day for morning & evening walks and other activities. 

Afternoon:  Visit to Khalsa College and Wagha Border. Khalsa College - An enormous red brick building with influences of Mughul architecture on the main Grand Trunk road en-route to Pakistan is the Khalsa College. Over 100 years now, it was started to be an institution to educate the farmers children and today, it runs as a full fledged college for girls and boys. Wagah Border - 30 km outside of Amritsar towards Pakistan is the Indo-Pak Border known as the Wagha Border. Every evening since the laying down of the Flag staff in October 1947, the 'Retreat Ceremony' takes place. Join hundreds of people from both sides of the border to see the dramatic ceremony and hear the cheers of "long live India" and "long live Pakistan" hollered across the border. A trip to one of the most controversial borders in the world is a must for any visitor to Amritsar.

Day 09

Amritsar – Delhi by flight or by train

In time transfer to airport / Railway Station to connect flight/Train for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, you are met and transfer to Hotel or transfer to Airport to connect flight for onward destination.
